Christmas Party

Christmas Party at RIS Swiss Section-Deutschsprachige Schule Bangkok On 19th December 2013, we invited all friends of the school to its traditional Christmas party. The event commenced at 3pm with Christmas workshops organized by the students of the school with many activities and crafts in front of and inside the different classrooms. Later, guests had the chance to take part in a silent auction of original drawings and sketches by children`s books author Helme. The auction proceeds (almost THB30,000) will be donated to the “Sparrow Home” project. The musical highlight of the afternoon was a mini-concert in the music room by the vocal training students of Liv Lange Rohrer

President of the Swiss Council of Switzerland visits RIS Swiss Section-Deutschsprachige Schule Bangkok

On 20 May 2013, precisely on the day of the fiftieth birthday of the RIS Swiss Section-Deutschsprachige Schule Bangkok, the President of the Swiss Council of States, Mr. Filippo Lombardi, visited the school in the company of the Swiss Ambassador to Thailand H.E. Mrs. Christine Schraner Burgener. Also present were the Ms. Annette Sévery, the German Counselor of Press and Cultural Affairs, Peter M. Toscano, Head of School and Mr. Anonth Collaço, School Manager of Ruamrudee International School.

On the 9th of December 2013, the annual Swiss School Bangkok Sports Day took place on our school campus as well as at the RIS sports facilities. 

All students eagerly look forward to the sports day every year and enjoy the day.
The day started with the traditional school assembly at 7.30 am. The students, teachers, administrative staff, parents, and other guests were greeted with a welcome by Mr Dominique Tellenbach, the new School Director of Swiss School Bangkok, who wished all participants a successful Sports day.

Language Diploma Ceremony

On Thursday, the 5th of September 2013, at 12:50 PM, RIS Swiss Section-Deutschsprachige Schule Bangkok held a ceremony in the school arena to present the language diplomas (DSD I, DSD II and CAE) to students.

Students of the secondary school and their teachers were greeted with welcoming words from Mrs Monika Eberl, Principal a.i. and the new head of secondary school.

The principal mentioned that more and more institutions of higher education and employers are requiring language certificates from their candidates as proof of their language competence. This is why RIS Swiss Section-Deutschsprachige Schule Bangkok is preparing their students by offering internationally recognized language exams.

Welcome Ceremony

On Tuesday, the 13th of August 2013, at 9:20 AM, the RIS Swiss Section-Deutschsprachige Schule Bangkok arranged a ceremony marking the beginning of the new school year. 

Students, teachers, administrative staff, parents and other guests were greeted with welcoming words from Mrs Monika Eberl, Principal a.i. and the new head of secondary school, who wished all students a very successful school year 2013-14.
