Soccer at RIS Swiss Section

Soccer is by far the most popular sport in Germany and Switzerland. Six and a half million people (over eight percent of the population) are members of one of the more than 27,000 soccer clubs in Germany. In Switzerland, there are still around 1,300 soccer clubs.

So it almost goes without saying that soccer also occupies a prominent place at the RIS Swiss Section. Students can practice the game during regular physical education classes as well as in numerous afternoon courses.

Apart from the fun of playing the game, playing football is an excellent cardiovascular workout. In addition to endurance and strength, it also promotes coordination skills.
