A Diverse Range of Sports, Arts, and Academic Facilities
RIS Swiss Section Deutschsprachige Schule Bangkok is equipped with world-class facilities designed to provide students with a well-rounded education in a supportive and enriching environment. Our comprehensive campus includes advanced sports, arts, and academic amenities, tailored to foster holistic development and cater to the needs of our diverse student body. 5 Football Pitches
The campus includes an extensive football complex, featuring one full-sized 11-a-side artificial turf pitch that can be split into two 7-a-side pitches, along with an 11-a-side grass pitch, mostly real grass, also divisible into two smaller pitches. A dedicated 7-a-side grass pitch adds flexibility, enabling multiple teams and training sessions simultaneously.
2 Tennis Courts
Two outdoor, hard-surface tennis courts provide a professional setting for tennis training and matches. Planned upgrades aim to enhance the playing experience and ensure top performance conditions.
25-Meter Saltwater Pool
This pool, complete with an adjacent young learners' area, uses a sodium-chloride filtration system to maintain high water quality with minimal chlorine. This setup is ideal for teaching water safety, swimming skills, and fostering comfort with water in young students.
50-Meter Olympic-Sized Pool
One of the few 50-meter pools among international schools, our Olympic-sized pool includes eight lanes, adjustable lane markers for 25-meter training, and 16 advanced starting blocks. Its chlorine and UV filtration system offers clean, irritation-free water, also accommodating scuba diving courses and competitive swim training.
2 Indoor Squash Courts
Our squash courts provide a well-maintained, air-conditioned environment for all skill levels and can convert to host 8–10 table tennis setups for competitive and recreational play.
2 Multifunction Sports Halls
The Godbout and Phoenix Sports Halls are fully air-conditioned, with flexible spaces supporting basketball, volleyball, and badminton on rubber vinyl floors designed for safety and versatility.
Multi-Purpose Sports Halls
These outdoor sports halls offer configurations for basketball, volleyball, and badminton, providing robust spaces for outdoor training and recreational activities.
Fitness Center
Our state-of-the-art fitness center is equipped with extensive cardio and strength-training equipment. From treadmills to free weights, the facility supports varied fitness levels and goals, promoting physical health and conditioning.
Softball/Rugby Pitch
This adaptable field includes four full-sized softball diamonds, with surfaces available in both artificial turf and natural grass. It also converts to a regulation rugby pitch, catering to a variety of team sports with dedicated goal posts.
Performing Arts Auditorium
Our auditorium seats 300 and is equipped to host performances, presentations, and events. With professional lighting and sound capabilities, it offers an excellent venue for arts and cultural activities.
4 Libraries (1 German, 3 English)
Our four libraries feature a range of resources across German and English collections, catering to all age groups and promoting a culture of reading and research within dedicated quiet and collaborative spaces.
3 Children’s Playgrounds
The three playgrounds provide safe and engaging spaces for young children, with one playground offering a real sand area for sensory play and creative exploration.
ES Indoor Play Center
The ES Indoor Play Center offers a vibrant, all-weather play space inspired by HarbourLand. With diverse activities, it is designed for safe, active play across age groups.
Stationery Shop
The campus stationery shop offers a comprehensive selection of supplies, from basic school essentials to art materials, meeting the academic needs of students and staff.
Clinic
Our on-campus clinic, staffed by qualified healthcare professionals, provides essential health services, from routine check-ups to medical assistance, prioritizing the well-being of our school community.
Boarding Facility
Our boarding facility offers daily and weekly stay options with structured academic support, including dedicated study rooms and weekly tutoring sessions. Boarders have access to school facilities and weekend activities, emphasizing personal growth, teamwork, and social responsibility.
Canteen
The canteen serves a diverse selection of MSG-free meals, offering nutritious and balanced dining options that accommodate a range of dietary preferences.

Two on-campus coffee shops provide students, parents, and staff with spaces to relax or study over specialty beverages and snacks.
Thomas Cafe
- Thomas Cafe provides a convenient option for parents visiting the campus, offering a variety of beverages including freshly brewed coffee and refreshing smoothies.
- Students benefit from a cashless payment system, using their student ID cards to make purchases and conveniently adding funds to their balance at a dedicated payment kiosk.

Catering for Our Youngest Learners from Nursery to Grade 1
For our youngest students, aged 2 to 6, mealtime is a special part of their day. With teacher supervision and assistance, they enjoy their meals right in the comfort of their classrooms. Our RIS canteen ensures that these meals are not only convenient but also healthy and wholesome. Every day, a nutritious lunch menu is delivered directly to the classrooms, allowing our little ones to fuel their bodies and minds for a day full of learning and exploration.
