WELCOME TO RIS RESIDENCE
The RIS Residence is a welcoming boarding community located at Redeemer Hall on the campus of Ruamrudee International School in Minburi. The residence accommodates up to 60 students in Grades 7–12 and combines modern facilities with a supportive and vibrant community environment.
Students stay in comfortable, furnished rooms with two beds and a shared bathroom, designed to provide both privacy and a sense of community. Recently renovated facilities offer bright living spaces, personal study areas, and updated bathrooms that support students’ everyday needs.
Beyond the bedrooms, the residence offers a variety of shared spaces that enrich student life. These include lively common rooms, dedicated study halls, and welcoming social lounges where students can relax, connect with friends, and take part in recreational activities. The dining hall is another central gathering place where residents share meals, celebrate birthdays, and enjoy community events together.
Residence life is carefully structured and supported by dedicated staff who create a safe and positive environment. Thoughtful details—from daily routines and study support to community messages and positivity boards—help students feel cared for and connected.
More than simply accommodation, the RIS Residence provides a place where students develop independence, responsibility, and lasting friendships while fully experiencing boarding school life within the international community of RIS.

Meet Our Residence Coordinator Mrs. Alexandra Powell
“My educational philosophy is to create an environment where all students can be successful, knowing that success will look different for each student. I believe that experiential learning is most beneficial to growth, and I encourage students to always try new things.
It has been such an honor and a pleasure to join this warm and diverse community at RIS. Having previously served as Head of Boarding in Jeju, South Korea, and as an Athletic Director and PE Teacher in China, my true passion is caring for students in Residence. At RIS Residence, we encourage students to have a balanced lifestyle through social interactions and weekend activities while striving for academic excellence in a structured study hall and additional weekly tutoring.
It is a privilege to support our students as they grow in independence, build lasting friendships, and feel at home here in Residence. I look forward to a wonderful year ahead and to working closely with our Residence faculty, staff, and families to provide a caring and supportive environment for every student.”
