Project weeks are a great way for the students to experience the world outside their classrooms. They gain new perspectives on the topics they learned about and bond with their classmates and teachers.
This week our students from Nursery to Grade 6 worked on various projects and went on field trips.
In our Nursery it was all about snakes. With snake dances and snake paintings, the students got to know these interesting animals.
The very hungry caterpillar (Raupe Nimmersatt) paid a visit to our Kindergarteners.
The Basisstufe learned about different careers from firefighter to dog trainer. Students participated in a police training and visited a riding stable.
Grade 1 learned about storytelling. They visited the Semathai puppet show, built their own puppets and practiced their storytelling skills during a sleepover in their classroom.
Grade 2 spent three days in Rayong where they visited a Turtle farm and discovered the animals of the sea. They painted coconut turtles, explored a botanic garden, and roasted marshmallows in the sunset.
Grade 3 had some great adventures in Kanchanaburi and got to visit the natural habitat of bats, an animal they had studied for the last couple of weeks.
Grade 4 visited the Buffalo Village in Suphanburi where they experienced the lives of farmers and learned about rice cultivation and sugar cane.
During a trip to Chanthaburi, the students of Grade 5 planted Mangroves and learned about the importance of coastal zones for our ecosystem.
The students of Grade 6 discovered the amazing wildlife of the Khao Yai National Park. The group learned about elephants conservation and hiked the trails in pursuit of deer, hornbills, and gibbons.
