Thank you very much for your participation in the survey regarding the reorganization of extracurricular activities. I would like to present a brief summary of the results below:

General Information and Communication

Information and communication have been universally perceived as positive in all areas.

Actions: To prevent an overload of information, there will be a filter function available in the future. You will be able to configure in the registration system which information you would like to receive. However, this feature will probably not be available in Season 2 yet.

Registration System

The new registration system aims to automate many processes to make everyone’s life easier. However, a new system requires some initial adjustment period. We are in the process of continuously optimizing the system. We need detailed feedback from you to make the necessary improvements.

The survey indicated that the system simplifies registration and is user-friendly.

Actions: A few programming errors were identified and have since been resolved. The next step is to automate payments. The system is ready, but we are awaiting necessary measures from the bank. Registration time will be extended, and the course program will be communicated earlier. In the future, the system will clearly show the number of available course slots. Course Offerings: Course distribution is the biggest challenge, primarily due to students’ different schedules and the availability of course providers.

Course offerings

The survey revealed that the course offerings are balanced. More courses are desired in the areas of STEM, art, and physical education. Monday to Thursday are the most preferred course days, with Friday being the least favored.

Actions: Courses are scheduled to accommodate as many students as possible. In Season 2, more courses in the mentioned areas will be offered. However, there are still organizational limitations in the current school year. Improvements are underway for the 2024-25 school year. Despite low demand, we will attempt to offer occasional courses from 13:35-14:30, in addition to the offerings from the Dance Academy and Soccer Academy.

Supervision

We understand that the paid supervision service is not popular.

Actions: Some respondents suggested they could consider offering free supervision. We ask those interested to contact s.nyffenegger@ris-swiss-section.org to discuss further steps. In connection with the organizational measures mentioned in point 3 for the 2024-25 school year, supervision in this form will be discontinued.

Once again, we thank you for your participation in the survey. The results provide valuable insights to further optimize our offerings. Please feel free to reach out to us directly with any additional questions and suggestions regarding extracurricular activities (s.nyffenegger@ris-swiss-section.org).”
